Challenge

More and more buyers of sun shading no longer ask their first orienting questions to Google, but to ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot. At the baseline measurement on May 8, 2026, verano.nl had attracted only 178 visitors via AI models in the previous three months, with a visibility score of 17%. Competitors like Somfy, Luxaflex, and Hunter Douglas were regularly mentioned in the same answers.

Solution

Starting from that baseline, Verano worked with Trackbase for four months to improve its visibility in AI answers: from technical optimization of the site to sharper structuring of product information about screens, roller shutters, awnings, and veranda shading. The Trackbase.ai dashboard served as a continuous measuring point: per prompt, per AI model, it was clear where Verano ranked, with what sentiment, and whether that share was growing or shrinking.

Verano went from a strong brand position to a demonstrably growing share of AI answers, with numbers instead of assumptions.

Optimizing without measurement is guessing. Verano's journey shows what changes when a market leader can see exactly what AI models say about the brand, and can prove it again every month.

Invisible while buyers were already researching

More and more buyers of sun shading no longer ask their first orienting questions to Google, but to ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot: which sun shading best suits their patio, what a screen or awning costs including installation, or how a pergola compares to a louvered roof. At the baseline measurement on May 8, 2026, verano.nl had attracted only 178 visitors via AI models in the previous three months, with a visibility score of 17%. Competitors like Somfy, Luxaflex, and Hunter Douglas were regularly mentioned in the same answers. Verano still had to fight for its share.

There was a good foundation, though. Even at the baseline measurement, Verano led the sector with 6.4% share of voice. The question was not whether Verano was found, but how consistently and how positively, and whether that share could grow further.

Optimizing and measuring

Starting from that baseline, Verano worked with Trackbase for four months to improve its visibility in AI answers: from technical optimization of the site to sharper structuring of product information about screens, roller shutters, awnings, and veranda shading. The Trackbase.ai dashboard served as a continuous measuring point: per prompt, per AI model, it was clear where Verano ranked, with what sentiment, and whether that share was growing or shrinking.

That combination of steering on ten realistic buyer questions and daily measurable progress turned the project into an iterative process instead of a one-off exercise. Every adjustment could be seen directly in the numbers.

Results after four months

The numbers after four months are unambiguous. The number of visitors via AI models rose from 178 to 790, a growth of +343.8%. On nine of the ten tracked prompts, Verano now ranks between position #2 and #6, with mostly positive sentiment. The visibility score rose from 17% to 27%, and share of voice grew from 6.4% to 8.0%. Verano's lead over the rest of the sector grew larger, not smaller.

The breadth of the site that AI models find also increased: the number of unique landing pages visited via AI models rose from 149 to 291, almost doubling. Visitors now arrive not only via the homepage, but also via the catalog, the showroom overview, and specific product pages. The share of engaged sessions remained high at 77%, a sign that the new, broader inflow is just as engaged as the earlier small group of AI visitors.
